Population growth in a particular area depends on the birth rate, death rate, migration and factors that directly affect human pollution. There are some factors that affect population density of a place, which includes physical and social factors. The population density of a place can be densely distributed or sparsely distributed depending on the number of people. On the other hand, the peninsular plateau is considered to be moderately populated due to its moderate transport facilities. Such areas can be prohibited for any form of settlement; thus it stays typically as densely populated. Social factors Excellent communication links attract the high population of a specific area. Developing transport infrastructure in mountainous regions is also difficult as good infrastructure encourages settlement of people. Natural calamities limit people to settle in a given place.
