In this paper, I review the human microbiomes and how probiotics help the human body including how probiotics applications could be used to avoid or even treat infections of the pediatric gastrointestinal and genitourinary frameworks. Moreover, the paper will also analyze the types of microbiomes that vegetarians and vegans have that makes healthier compared to omnivores. Probiotics tend to regulate local as well as systematic immunity, and thus helps reduce atopic diseases and allergies. Probiotics offer alternatives that are promising for new techniques in therapeutic microbiology focused on the advancement of well-being and anticipation of sicknesses. Introduction. A vegetarian is basically a person who does not eat any kind of meat. However, some form of vegetarianism permit some animals foods, for instance, Lacto-Ovo vegetarians are allowed to eat milk products and eggs as well while flexitarians tend to occasionally eat meat, fish and poultry products.

Veganism, on the other hand, means there are no animals products included in the diet at all. An omnivore is a person who eats a variety of meat as well as dairy foods and also plants food groups such as vegetables, fruits, and grains. Vegetarians make sure their diet has adequate nutrients supplied particularly protein and calories. What’s more, the human microbiome tends to outnumber cells in the human body by approximately 10 to 1 microbes and it contributes to more genes responsible for human survival that the genes of the particular human. The diversity of bacteria is the key to a healthy gut, and thus, to improve one’s gut health, it’s important to increase the number of distinct species of microbes in the gut (Human Microbiome Project, 2018).

Methods Considering the fact that there is increasing interests in relation to how probiotics could be used to prevent or treat diseases from the public, researchers, governmental organizations such as WHO and FAO and also medicinal and food organization, the study obtained information/data from governmental and health organization websites. Information was obtained from websites of different organization which deals with collection and analysis of data related to health issues. Such organizations included World Health Organization, Food, and Agriculture Organization, and National Institute of Health and Care Excellence among other organizations. The findings indicated that probiotics reduce a load on the biological system of humans enabling them to do extra activities most especially in those concerned with improving the ability to utilize food.

Below are some of the major findings which show the benefits of probiotics in maintaining our health and also in disease treatment and management. • Probiotics reduce the antibiotic destructive effect and help regenerate any type of loss in beneficial microflora. • Probiotics help improve the intestinal tract health • It’s used in the treatment of diarrheal disorders. In this case, the Saccharomyces cerevisiae var boulardii appeared to be widely used to treat and manage various diarrheal disorders. Conclusion In conclusion, based on the findings, probiotics, which contain useful microbes, are highly beneficial in the prevention and treatment of different kinds of illnesses like cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, gut infections, and controlling serum cholesterol levels among others. Probiotics exist in many kinds of foods including fermented foods, milk and its products among others.
