Although water pollution, deforestation, and littering are minor issues in Australia when compared to other countries, emissions are still a major issue (Price, K. , & Cooper, 2011). Greenhouse gas emissions in Australia are the highest when compared with other industrial regions. Therefore, there is need to come up with a program to mitigate this problem before it becomes dangerous. One of the ways that Australia can use to curb this problem is by using an Emissions trading schemes also known as cap and trade. First, it ensures environmental effectiveness. Since the major problem for Australia is greenhouse gases emissions, the government can include policies and rule and focus on greenhouse gases while striving to minimize even pollution of water bodies and land. The government ensures that emissions remain below a specific range by limiting the quantity of emissions from industries and other parties that play a role in greenhouse emissions.

The ETS can be changed progressively after some objectives are achieved. Another benefit is that it makes economic sense. Therefore, I agree that Australia would benefit from an Emissions Trading Scheme as it would reduce greenhouse gases. PART 2 1. Lack of adequate policies- To achieve the no poverty of the sustainable development goals, India has to come up with effective policies that help in bridging the gap between the poor and the rich. However, currently there are very few policies and programs in India that are aimed at reducing poverty. Insufficient economic opportunities- India is still a developing country which means that the economy is still growing. Such countries are faced with problems whereby the opportunities available are not enough for the whole population of India. As a result, there are millions of people who do not have jobs.

Therefore, even if the government were to generate opportunities for employment foe its citizens, they would still not be eligible for well-paying jobs because they are not skilled. Therefore, to achieve the no poverty goals, the people must be educated to take up opportunities given to them and also improve on skills of making and saving money. Increase minimum wage- In countries where there is high competition due to high population, employers often take advantage of the people by paying them below the minimum wage. Thus, the owners get more profits while their employees are straining to provide their families with basic needs. The minimum wage will also increase the disposable income of the population.
