Organizational communication is a critical aspect in the development of optimal organizational environment through the enhancement of performance. The organization should acquire new information and communication technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of various communication processes. Communication has a critical function through its ability to objectify ideas and thoughts into actionable goals in the organization. Since organizations are dynamic in their composition and function, communications are essential for the disbursement of relevant information to designate departments or sections of the organizations (Conrad and Poole 145). The development of organizational culture is an inherent aspect of the organization’s management. Therefore, through organizational communication, culture can become integrated into the organization’s core fabric through the manner in which issues are communicated within the organization, and core functions are executed on a daily basis. Communication enables the development of positive culture in the workplace that has the capacity to influence productivity, efficiency and promote a cohesive work environment (Conrad and Poole 182). Therefore, the benefit of promoting a positive work culture through organizational communication prevents the development of negative work culture. Through effective communication employees are able to increase their effectiveness in performing their designated tasks and duties. Essentially, communication aids in the prevention of incidences where employees are unable to share information or misunderstood. Furthermore, communication enables the development of positive moods and cohesion in the workplace; hence improving personal effectiveness (Miller 198).

Personal management such as timing and scheduling tasks enables optimal allocation of time and eliminates redundancy in the execution of various tasks. As such, communication enables people “to manage their communications, create and use their calendars to schedule their work, and account for changes and interruptions without a loss of their productivity” (Miller 198). In various organizational environments, employees tend to be territorial and may have an indifferent attitude towards the opinion of other employees. As such, communication is vital. Communication enables “people to work well together to implement changes in process, structure, and objectives without losing momentum to meet their fundamental performance requirements” (Miller 172). Managing Communication JKL Industries should deploy a communication strategy that encourages sharing information between the management and employees towards the realization of organizational goals and objectives. Such a communication strategy is critical in the execution of managerial functions (Miller 246).

Communication training and development should be established for the following reasons; • The communication training and development program familiarizes the personnel with organizational processes and products. When employees are recruited, they are not all familiar with the organizational processes and it is necessary to train them. They should know how to communicate and undertake various production processes with the aim of satisfying customer and organizational needs. They should also have required communication skills to enable them assist customers in making decisions on what to buy as well as the benefits of the product. • Communication training and development enlightens employees on effective and efficient communication. The longtime employees are enlightened on new trends and changes in communication systems and protocols. • The communication training and development enhances employee performance The program’s training on communication enables the employees to improve performance and productivity.

This will lead to enhanced competitive advantage and profitability index of the company. Information on new products, processes, systems, and protocols is readily available since the employees are enlightened during the communication training and development sessions. • The communication training and development enhances performance while reducing tedious workloads. • Boosting morale and job satisfaction in employees. Communication training and development is an initiative which boosts the employee’s morale by making them an integral part of the company’s decision making rather than order takers.
