There are laws in the Philippines that govern how we travel from one’s state to the Philippines which are affected by the state’s immigration departments. In this article, you will be able to learn many things that are meant to keep you in the right side of the law when making arrangements about traveling to the land Philippines state for the number of purposes as a foreign citizen. This is because it is very important for you to be able to identify and obtain the correct type of permit or visa before beginning any activity that leads you to this country. Therefore, it is my belief that my article will be playing an important role in ensuring that all readers who happen to travel to Philippines as foreigners get the right and sufficient information that will guide them as they comply to all of the available immigration laws regardless of whether visitors to the Philippines is meant for employment, retirement, tourism, medical services or business investments.

My research when developing this article was very keen in looking at all details that were provided in the state's department for immigration regarding definitions, factual information, benefits, requirement and the right procedure that a foreign national must adhere to in order for them to comply with the immigration laws. As a person is awaiting 9g visa approval, he or she who is wishing to live in Philippine together with an Alien employment permit (AEP), should continue to update his or her status of immigration by making an extension to temporary visitor’s visa. It is very important to keep in mind that you should confirm the employing firm is licensed or registered and recognized by Philippine laws before commencing the process of the AEP documents applications.

Purpose of AEP It is meant to give official authority to a foreigner to run his or her work operation in the land of the Philippines. Upon arriving in Philippine and admission to school or institution that BI has authorized to receive foreign learners, the applicant should look for a special study permit together with these documents in the following list. • Requesting letter • Acceptance certificate from the BI accredited school to accept learners. • Photocopy of the students' passport that reflects the period which the applicants will stay • Supporting affidavit and financial proven capacity • Certificate of birth Extension in the stated authorized staying period in Philippine state can be made if the holder of temporary visitor’s visa by reporting to BI and obtain an extension of staying by paying required fees that correspond to immigration charges. This stay is determined by the applicant’s state where they originate.

The initial stay has a maximum of 16 months of extension. Benefits and advantages of acquiring this kind of visa is that you can earn interest from deposits during time of application if the interest is approved by either LBP or DBP. There is also an allowance that give the holder of this visa an opportunity to make withdrawal of his or her inward remittance or the time deposit through application filing of withdrawal at BOI and providing it with an original passport copy voluntarily. The procedure followed is as follows: First of all, I would like to note that the filling is done either at the embassy of the Philippines or with the board of investors (BOI). Any staff member or official working with a global organization that is in cooperation with the government of the Philippines as its member and their legitimate family spouses wishing to work with the Philippines are also included. Elected foreigners in the governing board as the only post with voting rights only as cooperation members. Special retiree resident visa (SRRV) Definition: An SRRV refers to a visa whose issuance is done by BI upon Philippines Retirement Authority (PRA). The holder of this visa has privileges of multiple entries into the country and gives him or her a right to live there permanently.

Facts: Their requirement to apply for SRRV by foreigners is dependent of age such that retirees with age past 50 years should deposit ten thousand American dollars, 50 years of age individuals will deposit twenty thousand American dollars and those whose age lies between 35 and 49 years are required to provide at least fifty thousand American dollars. Requirements • Filled and notarized application form of PRA. • Authentic passport copy that reveals the current visa and details of the passport. • NBI clearance • Contract of marriage, certificate of Birth and family registry • Medical examination results tested by licensed medical from abroad as form 11 and the practitioner embassy of the Philippines should duly authenticate it or medical certificate of PRA (as form RRSC A#002) Done by a licensed Philippines physician in the country to all family members coming on board to the SRRV program.

Procedure to be followed when obtaining the special retirees resident visa in the for a program in Philippines; • Submit the application form of the PRA together with other required documents to PRA in the locality or embassy of Philippines • The endorsement is done by BI once PRA gives the application to BI. • Pay all the charges once you arrive in the Philippines • Secure SRRV stamped passport before five working days elapses after arrival • If processing was done by the Philippine embassy path, then the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the country will transit to PRA. Provide a request letter from a company that is doing the petition. Notarized copies of a passport belonging to the person applying it with a validated visa.
