This paper, therefore, discusses slavery in American history and outlines its relationship with racism. Slavery is an important aspect of the history of the United States of America. It was indeed the basis for the prosperity of the nation. Even though it is not currently a popular norm, slavery ensured that there was cheap labor for various industries and also the availability of personnel to work in plantations. As a result, racism began and its effects led to the demonization of slavery. Because of that, it is slavery that led to racism even though it had been an integral part of American history.
