Meaning, no much contingency plans can help. This is the same problem that the government of Liberia faced when there was an outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the country. No one was aware that the infection that was first recorded in 2013 would end up spreading to 6,525 people and directly contributing to the death of over 2,697 Liberians. However, the situation would eventually be kept under control when, through a dedicated effort, the country again became ebola-free. The intervention was mainly funded by the Liberian government that got additional support from the international patners like the World Health Organization (WHO), France, China, USA, and many other neighboring countries. The success was credited to the collaborative approach adopted by the Liberian government and other stakeholders such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the USA, France, China, and many other neighboring countries.

Case Study The EVD pandemic in Liberia has been chosen for discussion in this report. The reason why this choice is made is because of the way in which Liberia, a Less Developed Country, succeeded in fighting the pandemic. The scenario can be best analyzed by using the PICOT approach that focuses on the population, intervention, comparison, outcome, and time. With a population of 4. It was a necessary action that had to be undertaken to achieve several goals. One, the intervention would help in preventing the spread of the diseaese from one person to the other. The research had revealed that the Ebola Virus affects both the human beings and other animals particularly the primates. Drastic measures, therefore, had to be taken because the rate of spread was quite high.

The statistics revealed that, just after only two reported cases by March 2014, the number had shot to 6,525 by November the same year. This was done by providing appropriate medication and other treatment plans that suited the condition of each patient. All these were successful because of the collaboration that the government had with its partners. Thus, there were enough personnel and facilities to aid in the process. Impacts The impact of the intervention is that it brought relief and happiness to the individual Liberian, families, and the community that had become at risk if contracting the disease or dying because of it. It also benefited the government whose people had become exposed to the disease. 04% of it's total budget to healthcare.
