Consequently, the company became extremely decentralized and lacked centralized operations, common practices, and data sharing among the many operating companies. Most of the organization’s mobile subsidiaries were operating independently and as such, had each operating company had its own business processes. Instead of operating as a single global firm, Vodafone was a network of different businesses. As such, the management of human resources, and finance was challenging since each subsidiary was operating as an entity. 2-Explain why ERP was a necessary information system solution to address the organization’s issues. Vodafone would have divided the functionalities into features plus core system development. Prototype development and prototype listing with the relevant stakeholders would also improve the entire implementation plan. They could have then validated the implementation, make the necessary improvements, and test the new systems before implementation at the global level.
