Social science is viewed as a new dimension of capitalism due to its practice in the current world by main corporations. Yunus strives to explain the guidance on how the new businesses can grow and thrive in today's business world. Many scholars have a lot to borrow from Yunus ideas and arguments presented in the book. Myself, I have learned a lot from the book and I, therefore, appreciate all the discoveries brought on board by Yunus. The essay seeks to analyze the book, “Building Social Business” with a focus on the arguments, experiences, strategies and ideas presented by Yunus about the social business. The loan assists many in overcoming poverty including women who form the minority group. The same case, the Grameen Bank lends money to beggars to facilitate them in their door to door business of selling foodstuffs, toys and households as expounded by Marconatto et al.

The rate of repayment is an astounding 98%. The bank also takes care of the poor children by providing the money needed to facilitate their education which leaves them competent and prominent personnel in engineering, medicine among other careers. Since the program started, it has managed to help 18,000 people out of the 100,000 in the program (Yunus, Bertrand and Laurence 312). Moreover, his arguments cuts across the poor and the rich people due to Hoque (88) observation that people existing in various countries are different. Specifically, Yunus has made great efforts in the promotion of social business to many poor people. The emphasis on education influenced the use of Grameen ‘think tanks’ and universities as discussed by Yunus, Bertrand and Laurence (317). Programs such as cross-fertilizing the wealthy and the poor for the availability of affordable bone marrow transplants are being thought off as a way of restoring equality Mills (5).

The operations research and linear programming found in algorithms are some of the methods eyed for bringing patients and donors together. He believes that this objective will eliminate poverty at present and in future. “Building Social Business” is a book appreciated as a sequel to “Creating a World without Poverty: Social Business and the Future of Capitalism” a book by Yunus in 2007. It chronicles the theory of a new economy as Yunus is interested in perpetuating the ideas to the majority. The latter book presents Yunus as having achieved his dream of creating social business ventures with corporations. These include Adidas, BASF, Danone, producer of Dannon yogurt and Intel as enumerated by Marconatto et al. The instinct and the natural desire to better the lives of humans drove Yunus to accept all the challenges willingly.

He knew that if a chance is given, the preference of many would be living in a society free of ignorance, suffering, poverty and diseases as recorded by Hoque (90). These are the issues that define the fate of individuals ready to donate resources for charity and launch nonprofit organizations as well as NGOs. Marconatto et al. (646) acknowledge that people volunteer for various community services and other percentages devote their career to social sectors regardless of the lowly paid work. He collaborated the ideas of various scholars such as Chesbrough who advocated for ‘open business models. ' He wanted to eliminate poverty by use of technological environments as indicated by Hoque (92). Yunus, therefore, partnered with such people to enhance collaboration and long-term relationships.

It is these collaborative organizations that ensured access to new resources which were needed in the development of strategies adopted by Yunus (224). Yunus embraced cooperation as a virtue which he considered a factor towards the achievement of the set targets. The combination of Grameen's and Telenor's resources and skills influenced a successful venture. Mills (12) affirms that the venture helped the poor people in becoming entrepreneurs thus lifting themselves out of poverty. It was also essential in offering a convenient value proposition to customers. Grameen intention as established by Yunus was to convert the Grameen phone into a complete social business which would give the poor majority of the shares in the company. Yunus undertook continuous experimentation processes to facilitate the development of the needed businesses.

Throughout, Yunus takes the role of empowering and instilling hope to most individuals he interacts with as he enjoys the outcome of his efforts. The discovery of Yunus is appreciated by all including the most prominent people and this made him receive the Nobel peace prize in 2006. Also, he is known in the list of the first people to discover the capability of the poor people in various societies. Varied options are offered by Yunus aimed at supporting and helping the disadvantaged people. He opts for economic organizations and various fruitful experiments as discussed above which would assure the poor people of the required revenue and the general life comfort.
