However, the Decision-support system (DSS), group decision-support systems (GDSS) and executive support system (ESS) which are examples of business intelligence systems help inefficient decision-making (Papachristodoulou, Koutsaki and Kirkos 2017, p. The DSS, GDSS, and ESS all rely on a computer support system to enhance the quality of decisions in organizations. Business Intelligence (BI) is a recent innovation and a leading concept in the business world today. A report by (Patten and Newhart, 2017) reveals that relevant information is crucial for the success of any business. Access to the right information builds the business capacity to grow and manage the growing customer demand and win them a market share.

Organization aggressiveness in the market can be enhanced by the application of business intelligence systems and analytics to obtain relevant information about their target customers process that data and store it for use in decision-making processes (Trieu 2017, p. Unfortunately, small and medium-sized firms usually face innumerable challenges in their attempt to seek to utilize big data for their market advantage. The main reason is a lack of knowledge and enough finances to apply the necessary techniques for the realization of the benefits accrued to data analytics. However, the critical problem facing the small and medium-sized companies is the inability to implement effective BI systems that are well-crafted for their businesses. According to Patten and Newhart (2017, p. 31), small organizations are often early adopters of technology and thus have a high chance of adopting new technologies such as BI and analytics.

However, the low success rates in such adoptions are causes of concern for many small organizations as they are unable to gain benefits realized by their larger counterparts. The many advantages presented by BI to an organization can only be achieved if the organization finds efficiency in the adoption and utilization of such technologies. The effective analysis of problematic instances and coming up with a solution by a team depends on a GDSS. Lastly, the ESS eases facilitates the retrieval of internal and external information which is relevant in decision-making. Moreover, ESS facilitates access to statistical information which is used by the executives in making important decisions of the organization. It is thus vital for such businesses to successful aggregate information from multiple sources like networking sites. BI Adoption in SME The report has shown that a large number of SMEs focus on the level of system functionalities the inevitable access to data, customer requests responsiveness, the capability to manage various measures of information and usage when purchasing a cloud BI system. Solutions are critical to alleviating the high failure rates witnessed when implementing BI systems for small organizations. It is comprised of the attributes that have a proportionate influence on customer satisfaction. Attractive Quality It is also referred to as an exciting quality. It is comprised of characteristics that surprise as well as delight clients. They render high satisfaction when fulfilled, and otherwise if failed to be fulfilled, as the client never expects such feature on the products.
