The effects include the quality of health care, access to care, timeless, poor patient communication and also the outcomes of the results. There are several beliefs that have contributed to the coming up of the cultural diversity in health. Cultural diversity as brought more negative factors than positive factors on healthcare delivery in social, economic and political backgrounds. Cultural diversity is a social and economic reality in the United States. There is a growing consumer population that needs assistance due to the societal and organizational barriers. If the health departments could embrace such changes, the services delivery to people could be at a different level that it is currently. Also, other changes that can bring up the development is by recruiting staff that reflect the population served thus, making sure that one group has not been overworked.
Also, the working hours is another factor that requires change, the work hours should be flexible in a manner that the staff does not get a hard time while dealing with the patients. The demography of the country continues to change, this shows that instructions need to change the way they operate and offer services to people, and they should focus on how they can be able to meet the rising population and delivering quality services. The cultural diversities that are facing the health sector should not act as a blockade to further development and offering quality health care to people. The cultural and ethnic minority patients are not expected to acquire the excellent health care they deserve. When receiving the healthcare, they are usually treated according to the background they come from (Napier, 2014).
These problems can be changed by coming across and interacting with individuals from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds that is, being able to change the nation faces on how people should be treated equally. In addition, through interaction people can be able to understand that; racial, ethnic, and cultural differences are not the factors that should limit the quality and efficiency of offering services to people. Range in education environments can improve the education outcomes; this means that the students can have a different understanding of the society. People should be united and avoid cultural differences to ensure no side is getting affected by the lack of proper healthcare. Annotated Bibliography Napier, A. D. Ancarno, C. Butler, B. I consider the article to be credible as it focuses on the factors that are concerning healthcare in relation to cultural diversity. Betancourt, J. R. Due to the failure of addressing such factors, the health sector has faced a lot of challenges as people cannot be treated equally. Racial as a factor in the healthcare end up benefiting one of the sides that has the majority of the population. The author has used a variety of sources thus making the article to be credible. Also, the author has been able to focus on the factors that affect healthcare such as cultural diversity. Even though healthcare has improved in the past years, there are still some improvements that need to be done.
I do not consider the article to be much credible as it does not highlight factors that are causing the failures in health such as cultural diversity. References Betancourt, J. R. Green, A. J.
