Explore China Essay

Charlie Annenberg Weingarten travels the country with his research team to have an in-depth exploration of China and its deep roots. They set off at a provincial primary school where Charlie tries to teach some English to the Children. At first, I am bewildered at his motives and see him as just another lame old researcher but when the children actually show off their zeal and anxiety to learn with this new man whom they gladly accept in their community with a warm smile, I see more than just normal poor children. Their dreams and ability to accept change without question is absolutely amazing. Although the responses seem tailored, the smiles in their faces are, without a doubt, real. It is the stone from which they were curved and they would let nothing stand in their way when going to pray.
