During the patient’s assessment, the doctor relied a lot on the problems of Juanita’s families that led to rapid loss of weight and rapture of the eardrum. The evaluations of the patients affected with the psychological problems can only be done systematically following a recommended process. Specific models of health psychology According to Uyemura, health psychology is the application of health-related knowledge and information to control and prevent physical damages (2018). Cherry supported the statement by arguing that, Health psychology is an area of specialization that describes the relationship between the behavior, biology and behavior on people health and illness (2018). From the above definitions, health psychologists always base on the behavior, biological and social factors when advising the affected patient.

Stress did not cause illness but resulted in a negative behavior that had adverse effects on her health. To cope up with stress, she decided to take alcohol. Studies show that alcohol has many health problems which includes liver problems such as cirrhosis. Family stress also made Juanita lose her appetite which in return led to rapid loss of weight. The case study indicates that the Depression leads to head trauma which increased fear and anxiety in the patient. Domestic violence, the death of a loved one, divorce, loss of jobs and an increase in financial obligations are significant problems experienced in most of the families in the world. Many people fail to cope up with problems. The difficulties will automatically result in depression.

A fraction of the affected people may decide to take away their lives if the problem is not solved quickly. Juanita had many problems; risky of losing her child and the job. Other drugs like tobacco may lead to various cancer like mouth cancer, throat cancers, and lung cancer among others. Liver cirrhosis leads to physical damage of liver of many affected patients which increases medical costs. The lung cancer, on the other hand, leads to the physical destruction of the lungs. Excessive drinking of alcohol may also lead to domestic violence which leads to many physical damages like in the Juanita case. Juanita family was not at peace. Some families experience many problems but remain happy in their entire life.

Members from such families continue to grow healthier despite the challenging the family is suffering. That is the main reason why Many health psychologists encourage families to take everything positively. Juanita was a very healthy person before experiencing family violence. The health problems started immediately after the family disagreements. Love brings the sense of belonging. Juanita family is a type of family where when a person wakes up in the morning, he/she takes the breakfast and takes his/her way until midnight. Holding the family meeting in the presence of village elders may help a lot in bringing back the love. Religious leaders may also assist in holding the family meeting intended to come up with a solid solution to their domestic violence.

Medication It’s evident that despite severe, frequent headaches, heart racing, chest pain and dizziness Juanita had numerous accidents and falls. Communication Communication is essential in any family. Many research shows that communication is the source of love and self-esteem. It’s evident that there was little communication in Juanita’s family; she kept a secret of being depressed for an extended period. Some people may decide to stay silent for a period especially when depressed. The doctor should advise Juanita to invite her relatives like sisters. She was even ashamed of sharing her family problems with the community elder. She felt lonely in the community. I am so sympathized with her situation. The doctor should encourage Juanita to take part all community participation to reclaim her respect back.
