How Female Singers Effect Young Generation

Most current female artists like Nicky Minaj sing about drugs and explicit sexual behaviors which in turn affects the modesty of young women who embrace such ideas. Also, women would embrace the dancing styles immediately they show out. The attitude of songs and the messages they passed had much impact on how women reacted. Music that showcased women partying and smoking would translate to a large number of women doing that. In the 19th century during the time of jazz music, female singers dressed in long gowns and made their hair in boxes resulting in a majority of women in that time copying just that. The anaconda music could impact negatively on the music industry since it gets a large number of viewers, most artists could be tempted to release video songs of similar content.

Shake it Off by Taylor Swift Shake it off is recorded by American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift, she released the song in 2014 from her fifth album. The genre of the music is up-tempo dance-pop. In the song, Taylor Swift tries to make it clear that her hater's views are insignificant and cannot influence her actions. She claims that whatever one does people will always find ways to talk about it negatively. She uses words like a knife in the back and wounds to illustrate hurtful feelings. The song warns against toxic relationships and how to handle instances of betrayal from somebody who was once close. (Chuck, 2015). Allegations were that the song referred to Katy Perry for having stolen some of her dancers.

The video of the song showcases powerful, famous women among them Selena Gomez, this empowers the young generation of women. She is also positive that the song is authentic as everyone in life at some point goes through emotional wreckage due to betrayal or frustrations. During a performance at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus dressed provocatively and her way of dancing considered obscene. The song possibly describes a one-sided love affair which leaves her broken ‘crashing like a blazing fall’ the song, however, could not only be about love but about even an experience. The song has compelling lyrics and brings to the attention of the young generation that our desires can turn out to be a complete reverse of what we thought of.

The song could be considered innovative as it has a whole new idea of women openly refereeing to sex like any other normal activity (Deutsch, 2008). Vulgar words are used, creating a negative influence which finally erodes the culture of having to use polished language while referring to sexual encounters. The music has a greater impact on culture and gender demonstrated by how it attempts to eradicate a male-dominated society, the young generation of girls then develops the whole idea of explicit sexual terms and content. Hello by Adele Hello was a song released in 2015 by English singer Adele; the song is termed to be a piano ballad with influences of the soul.

The song envies the male gender as the female artist Beyonce expresses her desire to be a boy. She feels women have to go through a lot to be heard in the society (Slezak, 2008). Most lyrics in the song justify the freedom that the male gender has from having to be with several girls and express careless, irresponsible behaviors. Beyonce portrays the female gender as vulnerable and how they need to be taken care of and shown utmost love. Possibly, the singer illustrates a chauvinistic society whereby if u are a boy you do not have to explain your actions or the reason for your misconduct as depicted in the line she says ‘I would switch off my phone and tell everyone it's broken when they are having fun with the wrong person.

The song is of more significant influence to the young generation who are likely to experience feelings of heartaches by losing the people they love or due to frustrations hence making them aware (Van, 2011). As much as the song is not innovative, it's inspirational as one gets to learn that they are not destined to stay with the people they love for as long as they may wish. Culturally, the music creates a scenario of not having a choice to be with those we love forever, somehow people would pat ways, and the society will have to deal with it.
