Rachel is inspired to tell the world the story and life of the indigenous people since she shares in that history being born of an Aboriginal activist father in Australia. The successes attained through the different films undoubtedly express her competency and passion to tell important stories about the indigenous section of society. Rachel Perkins was born in 1970 in Canberra hailing from the Aboriginal heritage as his father Charles Perkins advocated for the civil rights of the Aboriginal people. Rachel is an Arrernte woman from central Australia where she was trained at Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association. Rachel’s passion for the Aboriginal stories saw her establish Blackfella Films in 1992, a documentary and narrative production organization that was involved with undertaking projects which focused on Australian content (Harris, 178). Bran Nue Dae musical comedy-drama that depicts an accurate account of how an Aboriginal Australian teenager comes of age through a road trip that takes place in the late 1960s (Perkins, 377).

The film offered a substantive impact locally and globally due to the application of the mix between comedy and drama which made people desire to be Aboriginal. The use of music and dance made it interesting since it offered an extensive input of telling the story from different facets about the cultural diversity which speaks to historical challenges of the indigenous people in Australia (Perkins, 377). The film was characterized by a taste of the Aboriginal life even though it was not original, it did not fail to both entertain and educate her audience on the challenges of being an indigenous person. The relationship between Willie in the cast and his uncle who is of an advanced age demonstrates the existence of a lively form of understanding between the two characters. The taping into the Aboriginal humor and description of a series of social experiences created an indication that Australian film industry was coming of age through the works of Rachel Perkins.

Moreover, another significant input by Rachel Perkins was Radiance set as a simple movie with an incredible story about two sisters who needed to learn how to coexist after the death of their mother. The film creates a factual depiction of the cruelty that exists in life notwithstanding the need to establish some input of how human people are in the midst of disagreements and struggle. The film brings on a mix of fun, sadness, and reality which reflects how the society is fashioned despite the evolution together with the transformation of humanity. The film scores highly due to how it delivers a passionate story of a family that occurs among people in their daily lives within the society. A good film is often a product of good workmanship which is demonstrated through the artistic impressions from Bran Nue Dae and Radiance.
