Uchiyama should make sure that all his players are culturally bound and sensitive to avoid any form of disrespected acts to the host cultures. What I would do differently Personally I will weigh the options of the cultures and respond to them on the right way despite the overall repercussions that may befall. If incase there is psychosocial problem, then I can utilize the necessary measures to deal with them. For Elliot, he was punishment and the general yields generated were good since after all, they won the game. What I would do differently I would ensure that I follow the lead of the manager and my seniors to avoid any form of punishment. Punishment is not enjoyable and the audience can see how Elliot has to work extra hard in training as the other players just relax.
