New York Conspiracy Trials
Over the following years, tension reigned between the numerous groupings, a scenario that heightened the strained relationship between the whites and blacks. Over the course of history, the trial formed a significant part of Negro lives, a turning point for many families, personalities, and ideological establishments. They also had little time to put together their resources for good eating habits. Thus, lack of balanced diet and nutrition deprived the slave's decent food to help them maintain a healthy balanced life and living (Horsmanden). Slaves of the city called the place Oswego (Horsmanden). The name came from a trading point by the Indians on Lake Ontario. The justice system was biased against the lower class including poor whites and the blacks. Justice Horsmanden ordered frequent scrutiny of the social meeting of such class-types (Horsmanden). The then law was discriminative and it was no easy for blacks and the lower class to get justice.
