This is among the many ways nurses can impact the community through establishing a partnership with government policies that regulate unhealthy foods and education with a focus on solving this rising epidemic in affected regions (Fillingham et al, 2014). This is without mentioning the increased cost that governments use to provide Medicaid and Medicare for those highly affected. While there are arguments that support the rise of obesity based on today's lifestyle and a change of eating habits, there are also studies that argue against this perspective. This can be attributed to the fact that the arguments are based on the nation that has fewer cases of obesity and vice versa.
