Chun was very friendly, honest and an ever-smiling man. He is well in his mid-thirties and a very educated as well as equipped in his field of dealing with public interests. He was also very keen when handling matters concerning the mid and low class people as their rights tend to be misused by those in power. He had a genuine desire to help everyone who walked in his office without show of fatigue and with a lot of interest. His only hope was to help, help and continue helping. Honesty is one of the must-have qualities foes one to be a good ombudsman. In class, we discussed how one has to be open and completely honest with people to influence their lives.

He explained to me with a lot of empathy about how it pains him when at times he is faced with situations where he can do nothing to help the affected. This was the saddest moments of his job. Mr. Chun explained that they do not own the problems but help those with the issues find ways to settle or go about their issues. They as the ombudsmen organization are there to direct and make sure the public are treated with the respect they deserve by those in power. He also explained that the organization is there for the people and other organizations under its jurisdiction. He had this sense of ownership of whatever he said, that he was ready to be held accountable for his words.

"It is our responsibility to make ourselves available and accessible to the public whenever they need us," he explained. Chun explained to me that some individuals are very offensive and always think that they are correct and deserve attention before the rest. It was common in his work to come across such individuals. When he or the organization came across such a case, they had to take their time in carrying out the severe investigation to help solve the case in the correct way without bias. The organization had strict rules of conduct with the public and favors, or prejudice was treated as the biggest offense one could ever commit against the organization. When I asked Mr. Mr. Chun explained that it is always the less privileged that are mistreated and denied their rights.

He had developed a pattern which helped him solve most of the complaints with a lot of ease. If he was faced with the challenge where the needs and the rights of the low class were affected, he had only to seek evidence and witnesses of which it didn't take him a lot of time to solve the matter. Man is to error and mistakes are bound to happen because no one is perfect at everything. You also should avoid making bias decisions about anything because our work is purely to achieve justice. Mr. Chun explained that one should also be well equipped and educated in public relations and problem-solving. The ability to make good decisions fast is also critical. One should also be able to do investigations because you have to find out the truth before making a decision.
