It is this attack the triggered the US into joining the Second World War and declared war on Japan (Tarshis, 2011). The Japan allies, Italy and Germany, later declared war on United States of America. This attack started on the 7 December 1941 at around 8 a. m. for more than an hour and in two waves, the 350 Japanese aircrafts continuously dropped bombs to the American ships (Bradford,2016). Having broken the Japanese discretionary code in venture "Enchantment," The United States militia and General George Marshall, who had received a translated Japanese message on the same exact day of the assault, had sent a message to the American naval base at Pearl Harbor before the strike to "be on the caution. " Weather conditions inconvenienced the broadcast of General’s message, and it was not in contact until post the bombing (Tarshis, 2011).

In addition, the United States had realized that a Japanese assault was up and coming some place in the Pacific, yet the American armed forces and the federal government staff had the notion that Philippine or any other region of the Southern Pacific nearer Japan as the presumable aim. This harbor was over 3,500 miles away from Japan, appeared to the US federal government, and forces an unattainable target. It was after this Pearl Harbor mass murder that the United States quickly assembled for Second World War. After he starred in ‘Kings Row’ a movie on dual amputee in 1942, Reagan joined the US Army. Reagan had a deprived sight and therefore he could not serve overseas. Instead, he worked in the department of public relations where he made a number of party line movies that helped raise money to fund the cost of the war (Woodard, 2012).

Reagan married twice. Jane Wyman was his first wife. He emphasized on the need for government to limit itself in order to curb intrusion into personal liberations (Edwards, 1980). As a member of the National Rifle Association, he opposed some civil rights legislation since citizens needed the freedom to discriminate in housing should they wish to though he altered racism was not his motive as he was a person who appreciated black people Martin Luther King inclusive. In 1966, Reagan became the governor of California where his key agenda was the reduction of government expenditure like welfare and to confront the student anti-war demonstrations that were because of the Vietnam War. In 1980, Reagan was nominated as the Republican representative for the presidential race.

In 1981, Reagan was voted the fortieth president of United States of America. These settlements intensively transformed the Great Plains. The vast number of cattle that grew rapidly as other farmers plowed the grass on the plains and planted wheat and other crops (Malone, 1989). Cattle farming also were on the rise as with availability of the railroad, transport to get the cattle to the market was provided. The rapidly growing rate of the white man settlement and the loss of bison drastically influenced the lives of the Native Americans in the West. This resulted to conflicts among the residents of the region. This was used as a sign of dominancy by the federal government and to maintain the livelihood then of greed, violence, and savagery.
