Finally, this paper will recommend the approaches which the University should adopt ensure job analysis has been implemented successfully. Keywords: job analysis, performance management process Job analysis Job analysis is one of the most important components lacking in the University of Ghana. Basically, job analysis is a process which helps in determining and identifying the job accountabilities as well as the requirements of a specific job. According to Aguinis, (2009), job analysis enables the employees to understand their tasks hence increasing productivity. For a performance management process to be successful there is a need for ensuring that job analysis is done appropriately. From the case study, it is clear that the management and the employees fail to establish mutually agreed goals. This may be as a result of the poor implementation of the job analysis within the University of Ghana.
