It is in this year that people started gaining interest in photography. This is the time William Henry invented salt print and negative calotype. Around 1910, photography developed more to produce highly focused images. Over the years, this technology continued improving to the current highly developed photography. This paper explores the role of photography in shaping city development. It has both positive and negative influences but the plosive effects are most significant. This form of art is very much treasured and celebrated today. Pictures are used as architectural references. Studies into ancient picture have been used to provide information about the structures built. These structure explain much about the community such as the style of construction, the materials used, the kind of art that the community embraced and the designs. Careful analysis of the picture reveals important knowledge of the city and the existing cultures.

That culture can be integrated into the design and make a very historic structure. Additionally, photography has been used to change the human perspective that has helped a lot shape the cities today. Observing historical development of city structures as recorded through photography helps create impressions that change human perspectives and how they view things. Change of perspective is one key pillar to sustainable development. Studies into why the structures exist or don’t exist would reveal important aspects about the environment, the people thus making special consideration in trying to develop new structures for city development. Additionally, it may reveal how certain paths and streets came to be and those that no longer exist. Wide angle views of city structures such as with the opening of Pont Neuf, one of the oldest bridges in France was very special and exceptional.

This view helped create a special view of beauty among people which influenced human interaction with sites. It led o much appreciation of urban beauty. It was thus effective for still images and portraits of wealthy and patient objects. After the Le Gras image, there came a photo by Louis Daguerre around 1838 that took an image of a street in the city of Paris from a view on the Boulevard du Temple. It is not clear if other images caught were intended or not but nevertheless, he causes a lot of idling people which historically has been viewed as what people did most times then. The place consisted of many idle people who came just to pass time around the area. In the modern day, the place has been transformed for more productive functions.

To preserve the beauty of mature as it links with human development, designers find the best view of the skyline, a factor that has immensely shaped the construction of our cities. There is no notable American city that does not find its definition from its skyline or rather by a photographic image of its skyline. Every magazine, newspaper, advert and the online media all recognize the beauty of the skyline. All these materials present the beauty of the skyline as an influence on the beauty of cities. As a result, coy development has greatly relied on photography with the intention of creating the best views of structures. One is able to monitor the progress of the construction from the start to the end. It is possible to review stages in the construction and identify areas that may have been done wrong.

Secondly, photography has enabled grasp of time and space in h process of constructions. This enables connecting a construction as recorded through photography and the time of its construction. This is able to reveal more information than just the time of construction. For example, the Philip Johnson house was constructed to reflect the environment. The house is glass-walled to reflect the beautiful scene of the environment. Through photography, the building has been used to influence people opinions about the environment, construction, and photography in general. Additionally, the photographs taken of the design are to date a major reference in the field of architecture and construction.
