The medical industry deals with the provision of healthcare services to various people faced with different health problems. The healthcare industry is made up of various professionals as it is a broad field. These professionals help in dealing with different problems that people might face in the course of their lives. In every medical facility, some nurses ensure that they provide care to individuals who are sick within the health centers. Nursing is among the professions that has been practiced by various individuals (Grove, Burns, & Gray 2012). These aspects can be used to explain various issues that pertain to nursing. One of the most common aspects in the field of nursing is the meta-paradigm. Metaparadigms refers to a set of components that seek to identify the phenomena that are of significant interest to a specific discipline.

In nursing, the knowledge continuum begins with the metaparadigms as the situation-specific theory or abstract to practice as the most practical as well as the concrete form of nursing knowledge (Fawcett, Desanto-Madeya 2012). The field of nursing is associated with four main metaparadigms which explain the practice of nursing. This concept deals with the level of wellness of the patients in various aspects such as psychological, physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional and mental. When providing health care, it is critical to ensure that the services provided is acceptable to every person to ensure satisfaction. The last metaparadigm concept is the phenomenon of the environment. The phenomenon of environmental terms the environment as something that is external to us (Masters 2014). However, an environment of a person can be internal.

These philosophies and theories can be used with the concepts that relate to nursing. The primary philosophy that relates to these elements is the personal philosophy of nursing. The personal philosophy of nursing is the individual beliefs of a person have while he or she is practicing the profession. The personal philosophy of nursing will guide an individual so that he or she will understand how to delivers services while observing the four central concepts (Munhall 2012). The other theory is the interpersonal relationship theory which is experienced between the nurses and the patients. Skills acquisition is the other theory in nursing whereby individuals are expected to gain new skills to gain expertise in the profession frequently. In the nursing profession, it is important to gain new skills which will help them to improve their practice.

Role theory is the fourth concept in the nursing profession which defines how individuals are expected to behave in social situations. In the philosophy and practice, it will be necessary to behave in a presentable manner in a social situation to be positively perceived by other people. The last concept is the change theory. This approach can be made by advising people on the health measures that can be adopted to improve their health conditions. Skill acquisition is the third concept that is essential in the nursing profession. Individuals in the nursing profession ought to undertake activities and various programs that will help them to acquire the skills necessary for their profession. New skills will help the nursing professional to find out new ways that can be used to deal with various problems that they encounter in their daily activities.

Thirdly, role theory is the other concept that nurses should embrace. Another theory that can be incorporated into the organization which I practice is the skills acquisition. The skills acquisition theory is critical because it helps in learning new ways to deal with different issues and to keep up with the changing dynamics in the field of nursing. Also, the other theory that can be applied is the health promotional model which is aimed at improving the health condition of individuals within the society. Conclusion Concluding, nursing is one of the most common professionals that is associated with various theories and philosophies of practices.
