The development of a checklist is centered on the historical knowledge, previous information about projects and information from other sources. Checklist analysis is one of the easiest methods that is used in project management to identify potential risks processes of a project. A checklist can be used even by people with less expertise. However, comprehensive checklists are difficult to develop since even similar projects are likely to have unique risks. Introduction Risk management during project implementation involve the process of identifying and minimizing challenges that could face the project throughout its execution stages. All the procedure for checklist development is followed to ensure that errors are reduced. Project management strategy Based on the research by Naomi Kachoka and Ruth Hoskins applying project strategy such as checklist assist in the progress of the projects.

The use of project management body methodology in managing the library of the university lead to the renovation of the various project (Kachoka & Hoskins, 2017). In the literature review by Raftery (2003 pg. 123) managing risk in the construction projects required a different strategic approach to manage this risk. For instance, based on the research conducted by Kachoka and Hoskins (2017), the implementation of the checklist analysis by the management of the university resulted in the success of their projects. Although the projects were exposed to different challenges, checklist assisted to manage much of them (Kachoka & Hoskins, 2017). Limitations of the Use of Checklist Despite the increased use of checklist as one of the project management tool, research show that it cannot be used alone, but in combination with other techniques (Goh & Abdul-Rahman, 2013).

Based on the project risk management field, a survey by Goh and Abdul-Rahman (2013) showed that other than brainstorming, the use of a checklist technique in common risk management tool in the Malaysian construction industry. However, the study showed that the checklist tool is not sufficient on its own as a tool for project risk management (Goh & Abdul-Rahman, 2013). Many studies have also pointed the use of checklist as an important strategy for project management as its directly relates to its success. Hence, checklist provide one of the tools used in project management. However, it cannot be used as a sole strategy for project risk management, but in collaboration with methods. References Dey, P. According to (Kachoka & Hoskins, 2017) and (Raftery, 2003 pg.
