In this line of thought the media in Mexico has changed and with it changes in the manner by which people communicate. However, with the increasingly rising number of technologies introduced to the people of Mexico there are staggering blocks that evade the full access of communication among these people. There is illiteracy in the skills needed to use the technologies as well as lack of enough financial abilities to purchase them. In order to have a grasp of the communication between the people of Mexico, it is important to note the changes that have taken place in the country’s media. In the hierarchy of development, Mexico is still among the countries that are striving to develop and grow in a world that is focused on the political sphere within it.

Therefore, with an aim of sorting out the issue and bridging the gap that had been created by the lack of digital accessibility and literacy, a project was initiated and was named Red Compartida. The project was aimed at providing network connectivity to areas that did not have access to the connection of the various media sources that required a network. Also it had a focus of boosting the competition that was in these areas. However, even though there are projects ran to ensure that the divide caused by the digital disparities in Mexico, are resolved there are still differences witnessed between the rural and urban regions of the country. These divides and disparities create a gap that requires to be bridged in order to avail the access of the different media information to all the people of Mexico.

With such a control of the mass in the country, it is evident of the influence that communication through the media has on Mexico. It can be said the changes that were seen during the decline of the party were as a result of people getting informed on the negative attributes of the PRI and also that there was mobilization of information that reached to the people who could not access it. This was due to the growth in the media through the use of technology that is rapidly taking root in the country. Governments have more often than not interfered with the process of the media. In Mexico, one of the main information sources that people could get informed through was the television.

However, change was seen with the coming to power of a new political party that held a different agenda for the people. During the era of the National Action Party (PAN), changes occurred in the media which were focused on educating the people on their aspirations and freedom of speech (Stanig, 2014). However, despite the media having gained root both through the radio and television networks with changes being visible in the manner by which the communication has transformed, still the issues of sharing information that is sensitive raises eyebrows not only among the citizens but also within the government. Despite this, cases of violence against journalists has over time limited the access to information that people have a right to, hence curtailing the freedom that is right to all, the ability to speak freely.
