There were fights between the British guards and troops and the militiamen who started the conflict and rebelling against the rulers in the quest for independence. The entry of France turned it from civil war to international conflict. The entry of French caused the surrender of the British at Virginia in 1781. The Americans, therefore, gained their independence through fighting. Their bravery as portrayed in the year 1770, was justified. She could have been motivated by factors such as her desire for freedom and hence she could be willing to do all it takes. The best results from any activity are achieved through hard work and determination with clear set goals and standards. Pearline could be determined at all cost to flee the plantation of her master.
