Role of Small Scale Enterprises In The Economy
Document 1
According to Hallberg 63, SME’s form the core of a country’s economy since they play various roles as outlined in this paper. To begin with, SME’s are a vital sector of the economy because they provide employment opportunities for a large population of citizens (Charantimath 79). It is estimated that the rate of unemployment is at 60% (Charantimath 79). This can be tackled by providing incentives into the small scale sector to boost the number of people with jobs. On another hand, a majority of the SME’s utilize at a large extent the resources found locally thus promoting the local economy.
