In my years of basic schooling, it was my custom to rush to my father's construction company to help him in basic duties as he continued to coach me about some other tactical (as at that age) duties. With time, I was a victim of enjoying the placement of raw-material orders and even trying to bargain the cost. That was long before I realized my potential in project-based duties and consequently joined Swinburne University with the expectations of learning both professional and entrepreneurial skills related to projects management. I have dreams to become a good and well-known project manager who with full knowledge has transformed the world with uncountable insights in the development of project management and the managerial skills. So far I have a little experience in what project management could be.

Even though project management sounds like a different animal from business studies, they are quite correlated. There are projects which are connected to business and, therefore, require the project manager to have the ideal business ideas and skills (Kerzner and Harold, N. p). Such ideas and skills could be enterprising and entrepreneurial skills. In addition, innovative and initiative skills are constituents of a successful project, be it business-based or not. Long-term plans are broken into small unit plans to ease the way forward. It is the responsibility of a project manager to document, monitor and control tasks and sub-tasks in an organization. Organizations are more interested in projects than their routine operations. The projects call for project managers while the managers need to have new information and technology skills (Ramazani et al, 41-52).

I understand that managers have to keep clear records through agile software. The organization as a whole needs a clear record of all customers it serves. The agile software enables the organization to know its loyal followers thus helping in case of customer sales of monetary promotion. Majorly, up to now, I have worked under different styles of leadership such as authoritative, democratic and laissez-faire. There is a good and bad story to tell from the experience of the three styles. The three of them stand out as a summary of different leadership skills. A leader should be an example since he or she shows the rest of the employees where to go. In other words, the work of a leader is to direct the activities of the organization toward the achievement of the goals of the organization or the project in particular (DuBois et al.

A position where you have to keep an eye on everything which is around you. A position which you cannot sit and wait for things to happen as they wish. A position where you have to closely follow all stages and ensure they are in line with the goals and objectives of the organization. Again, it is a position where a manager will struggle to match with deadlines and at the same time, negotiate to be funded in order to meet costs, quality work and the needs of site workers (in case of construction) (Owolabi et al. Actually, a delay on projects, as articulated in the international journal of project management, affects the whole project from quality to unexpected expenses. I had many expectations for my future in the profession despite that I had no any experience to give me the facts.
