Fear has been described as one of the most supreme and ancient emotions that have existed for centuries in the human race. Therefore, horror films such as Japanese horror films have been utilized to enable people to manifest their fears. Majority of Japanese horror films have a legacy of dreadful female ghosts who have profound revenge. For instance, Ju-on film has shown that female spirits portray the killing edge. Majority of these relentless spirits have been influenced by Oiwa, the shocking heroine in Ghost of Yotsuya. Ringu (1998) The major people in this horror movie include Hideo Nakata the director, Shinya Kawai the producer and the major characters such as Nanako Matsushima, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rikiya, as well as Yoichi Numata. The Ghost of Yotsuya (1959) The major people in this horror film include Nobuo Nakagawa the director, Mitsugu Okura the producer and the major characters such as Shigeru Amachi, Katsuko Wakasugi, Nakamura, Shuntaro, as well as Junko Ikeuchi.

Godzilla (1954) The major people in the film include Ishiro Honda, the director, Tomoyuki Tanaka, the producer and main characters such as Takarada, Momoko, Hirata, as well as Takashi Shimura. Japanese horror films have performed a crucial role in the American film industry because it has had a massive impact in Hollywood. This is because some of the few Japanese horror films have been altered or transformed into American films. Butoh: refers to a Japanese style of dance which is experienced in the film Ringu. Kwaidan: refers to Japanese ghost narratives which is composed of traditional morals. Pinky Violence: refers to variety of Japanese sub-genre films that came into existence in the 1960s which portrayed sexual contents having graphic violence that targeted women.
