Social Cognitive Reaction on Leiby Kletzky Homicide

According to Esther Kletzky, the mother of the abducted and later the slain young boy if only eight years, she had directed the boy to meet her at a specific location within the area but ended up in an entirely different section some blocks away from the intended region. The mother waited for quite some time before she realized that maybe something was not right with the situation and hence she raised the alarm. A search party was disbursed to the area which yielded no fruit. However, the police reported finding dismembered body parts of the young boy stalked in a briefcase in a dumpsite. One man named Levi Aron was arrested in connection to the heinous act. Aron Levi also exhibits the behaviors of a mentally challenged person.

It is not normal at all for a parent or any person in the society to kill a child only because the parents are looking for him. There must be something wrong with the mental capacity of the murderer (Ritter, 2011). The Abnormal behaviors in the study It is clear that there are some aspects of abnormal behaviors that are well elicited in the study in the case. Many occurrences in the study are somehow questionable and call for more in-depth scrutiny to understand the whole matter with ease. Why dint Levi Aron take the boy home? Why did he lock him in his house? To make the matters even worst, when Levi Aron hears the search party had been sent to inquire about the boy, he resorted to killing him.

The manner in which he killed the boy is also gruesome. This is also quite abnormal (Mintz, 1992). Psychology approach to the comments One of the comments says that the people in the society should generally teach their children to ask for direction from the women. Children should not in any way ask for directions from men when they lost directions. According to Bellarmine, he argued that no neighborhood is safe. Every parent should take extra caution on the way forward and the general goings of his/her kid. This is a behavioral, psychological behavior that the author has encompassed in the comment that he propagated. The psychological behavior admits that the behavior of some people may affect the peaceful coexistence in the area and hence peace in any community may be affected.

With this statement, my position is that indeed there is no safe neighborhood. From this excerpt, it is clear that the comment uses the cognitive psychology. There must be a cognitive psychological problem associated with the Levi Aron. Seriously, how can a man kill a child just because his/her parents are searching for them? This is entirely questionable, and Levi Aron must be having some cognitive psychological problem (Man, 2001). Generally, the manner in which Leiby Kretzky met his untimely death is quite unfortunate given that he was killed by a close neighbor who knew him and his parents well.
