Standardized tests have been applied in schools during examinations and have been used as selection criterion in telling which kid is bright. Apparently this method of testing majorly focuses on the child's ability to remember with specificity on what is taught in classroom only. A standardized test also comes with multiple choices allowing the student to play about with their memory and recognize what they have to put down. Standardization tests equality rather than equity when attempting to understand the value of intelligence. The aspect of understanding a concept has many dimensions, most of which is perceptional based. One common limitation of standardizing tests is the fact that it assumes all students of the same level of understanding and our all in one field or area of specialty while in the reality all the kids may have the different paths in life Kew – Forest school has put in place different methodologies through which standardized tests are combined with other testing paradigms to be able to significantly identify the potential of a student.

The abilities of a given student depends on their interaction with the environment and the subsequent understanding of their individual capabilities. Kids brought up in an environment full of sportsmen while contrarily loves mathematics is totally misplaced. Likewise a mathematically blessed student will perform better in class but may never be so smart in craft. In this case it is only good that the student studies what they best understand and are friendly with. Standardization of tests do not take into account valued hidden and unique identities of student. As much as we fight standardization, there are certain areas it is best placed, and lest not forget main use of the same in our daily lives. For some reason, using standardized test in schools should only be complimentary to a powerful skill oriented examination system.
