Some of these influences are an individuals’ skills, preparation skills, visualization, devotion to achievement, as well as a person’s past outcomes. The fact is, there exists very few individuals at 10 on scale across the world; but, if we can influence John Maxwell’s law of the lid and in assessing an individual leadership, then we can have a forthright interpretation of who your supporters are, where they can be found on the leadership measure, in addition to regions through which a person is capable of growing into raising his or her leadership lid. The truth is, if a person ranges a 7 on a leadership scale, within different situation an individual will not be capable of leading another person who is an 8, 9, or 10. Despite this, the Law of the Lid indicates that there is still good news that the law has room for flexibility. The more clearly and sure the leader becomes, the clearer and sure the organization becomes. To be precise, this doesn’t mean that to be in a leadership position a person should know everything or have all the answers. They never do and never will. Although, a high-level leader knows when to ask the right questions to leverage the team to find the right answers. While coming right down to it, the highest level leader (the lid) is at all times responsible for whatever takes place within an organization. The same case concept applies to other organization. Like for example, when a country starts encountering a hard but a new condition, the existing president who did well within the past years might not be appropriate to handle the new situation, therefore, a country requires a new president; however, we cannot simply suggest that the existing president is lacking leadership skills or is having a low lid.

Similarly, if a business lost markets or experiences loses due to changes in competition, the existing manager who at one time led the company to make huge profits might not be appropriate enough to handle the new condition, so a company looks for a new manager, however, we still cannot simply suggest that the existing manager is lacking leadership skills or is having low lid. All the same, Maxwell (2007) claims that no one is perfect and no one could own every leadership ability at the same time. If the highest lid denotes a perfect leader, it might not be practical. Though it is suggested that a leader have to be ideally growing on both. Lacking a former, a leader capability to casting a vision as well as navigating an organization is conceded.

But without the latter the sternness of the compromised is compound. Therefore, should one be lacking either, let it be the hard skills (Uy, 2018). It goes without saying that lacking technical skills is more certainly informed: an individual basically requires to delegate. Since the senior as well work with the consumer experience team, such a modest twist open up a completely new way of performance that seems to be more effective and dependable. To bring home the point, Uy (2018), claims on winning and increasing the capacity to win, indicates that the law of the lid can be applied in any organization in bringing the change and opening numerous opportunities. Furthermore, the author of the article Propertycasualty360, (2018), claims that irrespective of a person’s title or position, his or her capability to lead him/herself and others is a lid that will determine the level of effectiveness for an individual insurance agency.

Similarly, it raises a challenge since to understand the law of the lid suggest that a person has to acknowledge that as a leader are frequently a person’s problem and solution. It is important to note that, if an individual raises his or her leadership lid, it simply does not mean just improving the result, it multiplies the results. Since the agency is continuing to grow, the need to raise the leadership lid becomes significant. Maxwell (2007) asserts that “The higher an individual climb, the more the desires for leadership. The greater the control a person desires to make, the greater the guidance is expected.

” Kelly’s article sums up by stating that to understand the law of the lid is what separate average insurance agencies from high achieving insurance agencies, hence indicating that the law of the lid can be applied in any organization. However, Bergeron (2018) suggest if an individual’s leadership is strong, the organization’s lid is high whereas if the lid is low then the organization is limited. The article also indicates that every individual has a specific measure of the leadership and that it is not possible to change a leader within most of the organizations who have plateaued. Bergeron (2018) claims, therefore, suggest that, in times of concern, an organization should look for a new leadership. Such claims indicate that the law of the lid is only applicable is some organization cultures.
