Family can be a bond that unites people by blood, marriage bond or adoption bond. A society is made up of families and this is why a family plays an important part in the society. Family has a major importance in the social life of people. The Notebook film is a romantic movie of two lovers who marry and form a family. In this essay, I will focus on the family unit of the film and how the characters portray characteristics of a family and the importance of having and forming a family. She left without telling Noah that she was forced to go back home. Noah sent Allie letters but she did not receive them because her mother hid them from her but she continued loving Noah. Years passed, the two were not able to meet but Noah kept on writing to Allie.

It was during the war, where Allie met an injured soldier as she was working as a nurse and the two became more than friends. Allie's parents approved of their marriage and they get engaged as soon as possible. Allison used to spend her summers in the town where Noah grew up by spending time with him. She lost her virginity to Noah and unfortunately loses him for fourteen years after her mother separates the two. When Allie sees an article in the newspaper about Noah having rebuilt his house, she is urged to look for him to tell him that she is engaged or to reconnect their love. They finally get to meet again and when Noah sees her he still believes that she is still a wonderful person that she was when they first met.

Noah descried Allison as the love of his life, his happiness and his strength who they happened to share their friendship together. Family is very important in the upbringing of a child. According to (Reich, Cierpka & Massing, 2005), there are various aspects of a family that contribute to the behaviors and the relationship a child has to other people. For example, socio-cultural factor enable a person to understand the mentality of a child and how the child's behavior have shaped the child in to what they are. The environmental aspect in a family is important for the growth and the development of a child as it shows a child how to deal with various situations in life. Effective communication, environmental and socio-cultural stability are able to shape a child in a good way.

Their love and memories for each other was strong enough to help Allison remember. Love is powerful, love is invisible love is unconditional, it cannot be measured, love is able to change everything and give a person joy than any material item can give and love is real. The two were able to bond to form a family with their love for each other despite the challenges.
