Notably, with the British’s desire to relinquish control of the Palestine in 1947, the movement gained traction of control of approximately 6% of the Palestine land, and subsequent influx of Jews population into the land.

With the influx of the Jewish population and the conflict of interest among the western powers, the movement was able to “bribe” and “threaten” non-complying countries in their favor; leading to the passing of the partition resolution 181 that led to the creation of Israel. The treaty brought Zionist and Arab representatives to a round table of signing an agreement on cooperation and for support in establishment of Transjordan as an autonomous Arab state. In 1923, the British adopts administrative rationale to recognize Hejaz region as Arabs’ autonomous state; curtailing the Zionists’ economic and political aspirations on the Palestinian region. Between 1923-1926 an influx of approximately 100000 immigrants flock Palestine amid anti-Semitic conflicts that left over 50000 Zionist dead. A break out of Arab revolt in Palestine leads to murders of Jews in various cities between 1936 to 1939.

In addition, Arabs reject a proposal of a two-state Palestine aimed at mitigating the conflict, leading to British’s implementation of “the new policy paper” that restricted Jewish Immigrants into Palestine (Bennis pp. In addition, the United States advocated for the United Nation trusteeship in controlling the Jewish immigration and the formation of Arab-Jewish provinces instead of states to promote inclusion (Bennis pp. In other words, both the United States and Russia’s involvement in the creation of Israel resulted from the desire to ensure continuous oil supplies from oil-rich Arab country. The United Nations plan failed to work in 1948 partly due to the fact that the 1947 General Assembly resolution was a mere recommendation which did not create any states. That is, the 1947 resolution aimed at creating Arab and Jewish states in Palestine but lacked legal approval and implementation by the security council, rendering the recommendations to be non-abiding (Bennis 143).

The lack of legality on the recommendations from the security council increased conflicts in Palestine instead of truce. The issues between the Israelis and Palestinians call for a comprehensive and non-biased approach to finding a long-term solution. The ever-ending conflicts emanate from economic improprieties and historical injustices perpetuated on Arab Palestinians decades ago. Non-biased approach, in this context, refers to the ability of the United States to evaluate the whole phenomenon from an independent perspective to understand the current woes hitting the country. Independent perspective, in this case, refers to the United States dropping its international and foreign policy approaches in addressing the current cause of instability in the nation.
