One of the main trend that the company should monitor closely in waste management industry is the increasing populations. in addition the company should monitor the wherever that population decides to measure and work. Most of the attention of the waste management companies is shifting to inhabited and residential areas as they present an immense opportunity for growth. The trend is also reflected in industrial development and economic zones due to the volumes of waste generated and the demands for proper disposal. There is an opportunity to enter the global markets but the companies should be aware of the waste management companies expanding onto the US market. the waste management is in demand of innovative solutions to both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

For the industry to maintain its profitability and avoid declining its profitability to a competitive rate, the industry should ensure that incumbents have very strong and durable barriers to entry such as patents, economies of scale, government policies or capital requirements. Both options considered when entering the waste management industry are very costly and are subject to significant regulatory scrutiny. Therefore, new operators will find it difficult to start the waste management business. This is because the industry involves few competitors who share a large market.
