Although the has been little research on the topic, there has no be clear framework established on the topic. all the tattooed professionals may have particular interest with the psychologists with body tattoos especially that their profession is about interaction and the appearance of the psychologists will a great impact on the kind of relationship that will be exhibited between the psychologist and their client. Essentially, this topic will benefit these professionals by making them understand that people have a tainted perception regarding tattoos and there is the tendency to have a social stigma for the people with exposed body tattoos.

Organization Overview One cannot deny the fact that tattooing has ingrained in the work environment because of its continued increase in penetration in the workplace culture. The reach of tattooing was outlined in a study conducted by Kosut (2006). The researcher found that there are people in particular professions whom when they adapt particular characters, then they act as marketers of the behavior to the larger population, facilitating its faster spread. The media personalities, for example, are iconic people and who are seen by a very large population. What is the relationship between the body tattoos and stigmatization? People with open body tattoos are usually stigmatized at the work place by the co-workers, clients and supervisors who have a negative perception regarding the body tattoos. Past studies have shown that tattooed people are usually associated with particular bad behaviors that include drug use, defiance character and addiction to sex among others. Besides, there are cases in which supervisors will just see them as lazy, hence will be kept at pressure at workplace and strict supervision that they may end up being overworked as opposed to other non-tattooed employees. The interviews were conducted with the participants twice over the phone with the initial interview being conducted on May, 2018 and the second interview conducted on July, 2018. The interviewees were semi-structed and lasted for an hour with each of the participants. The interviewees were required to give descriptions of their tattoos or the experiences of staying around the people with open body tattoos in their profession, the reaction of the clients towards the tattoos and their thoughts about tattooed professions who represent the brand image or who are involved in interaction with the clients. The interviews were transcribed were transcribed verbatim, excluding the filler words from the interview. This would guide the analysis that was to be carried out through the finding of similar themes from the results which facilitated in the definition of the critical themes were common in the study.

Most of the other people in different professionals are usually keen on psychologists who have body tattoos because they know such people hold delicate jobs that involves interaction with the clients and the patients. The appearance of psychologist defines the nature of relationship that will be developed between the patient and the psychologist throughout the treatment session. However, tattooing their bodies can affect the level and quality of service delivery significantly especially when they have to deal with individuals who have a strong negative perception towards the body tattoos. People would judge the organization principles, policies and culture from the perceived image from its employees.

As a result, having a tattooed employee in the organization could send a bad image about the organization. Therefore, the employers tend to evaluate these employees more poorly as opposed to their counterparts who do not have the body tattoos despite the general acceptance and the current popularity of the body art. Similarly, the career of professional psychologists is associated with the image and the general perception the clients because the interaction with the clients and the patients will be determined by the general image of the psychologist. Based on how they see the psychologist, some of the patients and clients may be uncomfortable with psychologists who have open body tattoos if they have a negative perception of such form of body identification and if they associate body tattoos with particular vices in the society.

Based on the policies and principles of the company, its line of service delivery or product offering, there are particular positions that a person with open body tattoos cannot hold in an organization. This is because such positions involve in interaction with the customers and clients and holding such a position would send a bad image of the organization to the market. Employers will be keen when hiring people for such positions. People would judge the organization principles, policies and culture from the perceived image from its employees. As a result, having a tattooed employee in the organization could send a bad image about the organization. e. garments, autos, furniture, make-up, body enrichments such as tattoos and piercing. Its approach was in line with similar studies like Haywood et al. Such a person will not trust the psychologist and might link them to some negatively perceived behaviors like drug use, sexual behaviors and aggressiveness among others. Since the patient cannot trust the tattooed psychologist, they will not reveal all the necessary information that will necessitate their treatment. In other words, body tattoos can lead to development of a negative perception of the psychologist and hinder the development of a positive relationship between the parties during the interaction session.
