Effects the two brought about in Europe were profound. The two, however, had their specific uniqueness and differences. Italian Renaissance is famous for identifications and accreditation of specific scholars for their cultural achievements, i. These other countries included England, France, Belgium and the rest. There was no direct link between them and either Greece on Rome (Periti, 75). And their form was based majorly on religious background, unlike the Italian Renaissance. Although the two taught great scriptures regarding the Christian faith, they did in in different contexts. Luther was a great prophet who cleared the path for the succeeding Protestants to follow. This made the work of Calvin simpler, and he was able to focus systematically on expanding the church built by Luther (George, 26). They were both ambitious about identification of the glory of God, but the point at which they presented evangelism was not identical. Once one is baptized, sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and one attains eternal life. Calvin, on the contrary, viewed baptism as an external sign that led to the recruitment of individual members to the church and did not result in the salvation of the member (George, 26). It also recognized all states to have similar sovereignty, and no nation had more sovereign power than the other. This is also applicable in the contemporary world and has led to peaceful coexistence among many nations.
