Finally, the team proposes to buy the Youngers to help in working on their farms as slaves, an indication the White felt more superior to the Black. Conclusion A Raisin in the Sun is an instrumental piece of literature that can build a stable ground for exploring the American history. The study focused on one primary research question – how useful is the text in enforcing the American history in an academic context. It proposed that some of the themes such as stereotype and prejudice as well as the strength of a family could help students in tracing their social worthiness.
