The genesis of AI can be attributed to a meeting held in Dartmouth College in 1956, Hanover New Hampshire, were emergent research was extensively discussed and the future of AI through computer technology and computer systems was projected. The research questions that led to the emergence of AI include, “Whether automatic computers of enough power to emulate the human brain could be developed. ” “Whether artificial neural networks based on the architecture of the human brain might be designed. ” “How a computer could be programmed to use human language. ” “How a computer could play games like checkers, chess and Go. Artificial reasoning came about as a result of the neurological analysis and study of the human brain and psychological processes and hence development of AI systems that have the same capacity creating a self-organizing system capable of reasoning, adaptation and decision making (Hendler & Mulvehill).

The ability of an AI system to perform its tasks and interact with the human being it is designed to requires thorough understanding and research on part of the design of the AI system and the algorithm it has to be able to learn and apply cognition so that it can efficiently adapt to multiple environments, interact with different people and solve a wide range of problems it is presented with. The design needs a lot of expertise since it is the merging of various fields in computer science, to forge one system capable of performing all these tasks without strain or failure and getting better with time. The focus of an ideal AI system should be in vision, robotics, natural language, machine learning, automated programming and automated planning systems as well as rule-based expert systems (Hendler & Mulvehill).

All the above disciplines need to be merged in order to facilitate the creation of a suitable complex AI system capable of millions of operations without failure. The business also needs to create unique online ads to attract their target market as well have the features of customer service and response to their customers (Hunter). All this is made possible in social media through AI. AI programs have the capacity to understand the deeper intent and meaning from consumer actions to give the required intelligent and accurate results, increase functionality and create an appeal to the consumers. The ability of AI systems, within businesses that practice social media marketing across most platforms, to analyze and process large volumes of data and therefore understand the data, recognize the patterns from the data processed and predicts social media trends created what is termed as "deeper learning" which results in the creation of a more personalized and user-friendly experience for their target consumers (Hunter).

Social media users are therefore able to discover and interact with other users, links, and pages with content relevant to their specific needs and interests. AI and social media integrations Human application in social media marketing is met with a lot of guesswork as to the dynamics of the content, the timing of the posts and interactions, the engagement between customers and the business and the creativity in the content generated for marketing. This is a result of the large volumes of structured and unstructured data that needs to be processed in order to create useful information relevant to social media marketing. This is a hard task for a human to partake in. AI systems through slack bots are able to revolutionize the social media brand and presence of businesses by developing effective content that is creative and relevant to post, at the correct time in order to market their products or services which will appeal and engage more consumers fitting to the business ideals.

Slack bots also prove comparative analysis of posts between other competing social media businesses as well as across different social media platforms to provide a prediction of the success rate of posts. This is used to generate a consumer persona relevant to the business incorporated I social media platforms. With this, consumer patterns and behavior can be predicted and hence the development of a personalized marketing protocol based on the prediction which results in automated marketing. AI programs through machine learning are able to determine what the consumers want now and what they would want in future and through text mining, proper marketing is done to these consumers with use of content marketing, relevant content correctly timed and appealing posts. All this results in larger and increased reach and engagement which boosts business.

Facial recognition on Facebook where users can tag their friends in photos that they post is as a result of AI programs. This is because the AI systems will transform human application is social media and industrial settings into more efficient and effective AI application systems. This will complement the new technology and result in better business dynamics and enhance the competitiveness of these businesses. All this will be made possible through social media marketing with integration and overlapping of AI. The future does not only focus on businesses as industries but also focuses on personal interactions and social trends within these social media platforms where AI will increase engagement, online experience will be improved and increased knowledge on relevant content.
