Introduction Network design is an essential process for any organization that wishes to implement a new computer network infrastructure. Some of the essential elements of network infrastructure implementation include network convergence and types, various LAN types, WAN connection, and cabling plan, both for the head office and for EZY-Books' branches.

Network convergence and unified types Network convergence is one of the components of network infrastructure that will be implemented by EZY-Books. It will involve the use of the same computer network infrastructure by both the head office and the branches rather than using different infrastructure by the head office and the branches. The implementation of network convergence will increase convenience and flexibility in information sharing since both the head office and the branches will be using the same network infrastructure. However, the implementation of network convergence by EZY-Books will necessitate the acquisition of a variety of network requirements for convergence in the head office and the two branches. The application of these three components of network convergence in EZY-Books head office and branches will enable the use of the same computer network infrastructure thus increasing the convenience and flexibility of information sharing.

The implementation of unified communication types is another essential component of the proposed network infrastructure(Lazaropoulos, 2014). The unified communication types will require the application of a variety of features in EZY-Books' head office and branches. The implementation of unified communication will help EZY-Books integrate the software that supports communication at any time as well as enabling the EZY-Books' staff to access the software using any device both in the head office and at the branches. The unified communication environment will be achieved through the installation of a variety of back-end systems in the head office and the branches especially the UC platform type. Wide Area Network (WAN) Connection The new computer network infrastructure will require the installation of WAN in both the head office and in the branches.

EZY-Books will benefit from the implementation of WAN in a variety of ways. WAN will enable sharing of internet among the offices in the head office and those in the branches thus saving on the cost incurred on internet usage in the offices. Additionally, it will ensure sharing of sensitive data only within the head office and the branches which will boost information privacy(Mourtzis, 2014). Besides, it will help cut costs incurred in various platforms thus optimizing profits. Extranet The installation of extranet in the head office and the branches is another requirement for the new network infrastructure. Extranet will help EZY-Books to share information with its suppliers and customers among other stakeholders to ensure a constant flow of intended information.

Email The installation of email in the head office and the branches will be necessary for the new network infrastructure. The internet will ensure connectivity of the head office and the departments at all times helping in fast communication and transfer of information. Data Processing Facilities The data processing facilities is another vital component of the network infrastructure. This will help save on costs for processing data twice. The installation of data processing models not only play an essential role in achieving a new computer infrastructure but will also optimize the profits earned by the company in the publishing business. Conclusion and Recommendation The network design by EZY-Books has three essential stages: network infrastructure, networked services, and data processing and facilities.
