Essay on Cardiovascular diseases
They are believed to be preventable through measures such as exercise, abstaining from tobacco use, checking on amount of alcohol among others. Chronic diseases are diseases are health complications that last for long and have long term effects on the patients. Alternatively, it can be described as health complications that arise with time. Classification of cardiovascular diseases is one of the concerns especially determining whether it is one of chronic diseases. Therefore, the research will be aiming at determining whether cardiovascular complications can be placed in the same group with other chronic diseases. Therefore, knowledge on effects of disease and preventable measures can make someone determine whether they are examples of chronic diseases. In 2010 high blood pressure was found to be the main cause of mortality rates since it was also a leading factor for cardiovascular disease.
In comparison to other factors each cause of the factor contributed a certain percentage to the death rates. For example, high blood pressure (40%), BMI and glucose (15%), high amount of cholesterol (10%) while other causes resulted to other reported mortalities. Therefore, one can argue that the salient characteristic of these diseases are high blood pressure, exaggeration in body size and weight as well as diabetes. Therefore, lack of balanced diet will result in blocking of blood vessels thus increasing the chances of high blood pressure. High blood pressure is one of the main causes of cardiovascular diseases. Similarly, chronic diseases are also caused due to taking unbalanced diets where some nutrients are in excess in the body while others that play important role in the body remains insufficient.
Examples of chronic diseases that are caused due to lack of balanced diet include; diabetes, arthritis and others. For instance, diabetes is caused by increase in level of blood sugar in the body thus interfering with blood flow in vessels. Then there is diet that has high percentage of quality protein such as fish and poultry. Finally, there is organic dairy such as natural yoghurt, and eggs. On the other hand, cardiovascular and chronic diseases contain the same types of diets in which people are advised to take les of them which include; hydrogenated and saturated fats, deep fried foods, fast food, snacks foods which have high level of cholesterol. One is advised to take less to avoid rise in cholesterol level in body vessels that results to increase in blood pressure.
Secondly there are packaged foods with more emphasis put on those that contain increased levels of sodium and sugar. Therefore, the body responds by turning to fats that can be source of a lot of energy. Therefore, physical exercise tends to reduce the level of cholesterol thus ensuring smooth flow of blood. Therefore, apart from taking balanced diet there is needed to focus on physical activities. It can be applied to many types of physical activities such as gem, work that requires high energy and avoiding too much application of energy. This will reduce the chances of having high blood pressure as exercise even relaxes mind reducing those chances. The main idea on physical exercise as a way of preventing these diseases is breaking of body nutrients to provide energy for body activities.
Moreover, physical exercises in both cases are set to prevent blood pressure which is known to cause both of body complications. This special relationship on physical activities between the two types of diseases is an indication that cardiovascular complications are one of examples of chronic diseases. Relationship with Obesity Obesity is situation where there over increase in body size and weight thus causing both to be vulnerable to some of diseases. An individual suffering from obesity means that there is too much amount of fat a sugar in most of body organs. This situation is because obese body has variety of alternative sources of energy. Therefore, the sugar breakdown is slower coercing some of it to be stored in the body organ systems.
High amount of sugars in the body increases the rate of blood flow causing high blood pressure. Moreover, high sugar levels in the body results to other chronic related diseases such as diabetes and arthritis. The apparent relationship of cardiovascular and other chronic diseases is a clear indication that both of the diseases are of the same group. There are over 2000 different calories therefore their tally in a human being differs from one individual to another based on difference in age, gender, and day to day activities. Therefore having a record of the number of calories will make one make prior decisions on their diet. One needs to make decisions based on the rate at which energy is needed in their bodies.
Maintaining such number of calories to check on weight is a suitable way of preventing cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, there is avoiding use of tobacco especially through smoking. However, there are some nutrients that universal since they affect every side irrespective of their category. For instance, experts have warned against taking some beverages, saturated fats due to high amount of cholesterol in them. Moreover, hydrogenated fats are known to contain high percentage of cholesterol that causes high blood pressure at higher rate. This goes together with limiting intake of sodium in our bodies. Conclusion The research clearly depicts that cardiovascular disease is a chronic disease as well due to their relationship in diet, physical activity and obesity. 2009 Canadian Cardiovascular Society/Canadian guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of dyslipidemia and prevention of cardiovascular disease in the adult–2009 recommendations.
