In the closed system, status is not achieved, rather it is ascribed based on several factors such as family background and political factors. Fidel Castro was born in Cuba on August 13, 1926, from a wealthy family in Oriente Province. His father, Angel Castro Argiz was a farmer with a successful sugar plantation. Fidel later changed from Christian to atheist and joined socialists groups where they armed themselves for protection.
