Essay on Gender Socialization

The learning process of different gender socialization theories should move towards establishing an open-ended approach that sets a middle ground in asserting common practices of different genders. The major socializing agents in my childhood were family and peers who demonstrated to me what was expected of me belonging to a given gender. The behaviors about how I was expected to present myself as a courageous person and confident without an option move around taking about people rather than struggle to get my way out of challenges. The agents demonstrated to me how to live and dress especially when it came to the manner in which I related with my peers who expected a certain form of attitude and behavior. My parents kept on cautioning me to keep on behaving in a manner that relates to my gender orientation.
