It is an artificial respiration that combines chest compressions and mouth to mouth breathing. Most importantly, serves the purpose of restoring blood circulation in cardiac arrest and breathing injured individuals as well as preventing their brain from damaging. Therefore, First Aid/CPR knowledge has become important to everyone not only to the healthcare and medical professionals. Importance of First Aid In case an accident happens, having learned first aid I shouldn’t remain helpless to witness since this can cause to the progress of the injury, but having the basic knowledge on first, I can help the victim before a professional medical personnel arrives. Hence, I can greatly help save lives through the application of CPR for it only takes six minutes to a breathless person to expire. It is important I use a sterile cloth if it is available to avoid contracting germs and put a bandage on the wound if possible.

To help a person in shock, I am supposed to lay the victim on their back and elevate their feet, I cover them with a blanket to keep them warm, in case they vomit or bleed, I should place them on the side and immediately call for help. Having acquired skills from my class, I should use Heimlich manoeuvre when one choke, and I should help people who are nosebleeding to stop their bleeding as well as providing CPR to a victim suffering from heart failure.
