S have significantly changed promising a better future if effective reforms are implemented. Access to healthcare has improved considerably due to the expanded coverage and simplified eligibility which has reduced the number of uninsured people. Quality of healthcare is also low given the high mortality in America. As discussed in this paper, the future of healthcare relies heavily on the practical implementation of reforms supported by both the public and private sectors. Introduction Public health is pivotal to any State’s economic growth. In America, health coverage through the ACA reforms has ensured the expansion of health coverage thereby reducing the number of the uninsured (Andersen, Davidson, and Baumeister, 2013). For instance, through the Medicaid and Medicare plans, children, youth, and the elderly can obtain health insurance that aligns with their needs.

Health coverage systems in America cover all people irrespective of their levels of income. For example, as a healthcare patient, I can use my Medicare insurance plan to access health services and cover the medical bills incurred during the services. As a healthcare payer, access to healthcare improves my ability to obtain the best healthcare services for my patient (Young and Kroth, 2017). Conversely, quality of healthcare has deteriorated in health-related quality of life. However, with the implementation of ACA, quality of healthcare could be improved at both the patient level and for the stakeholders in general. This is possible by encouraging primary care, prevention, integrated care, quality measurement and use of comparative effectiveness information by care providers (Obama, 2016). Over hospitalization rates in America is also low indicating improved quality of healthcare.

Averagely, Americans receive half of recommended medical care processes. Following the implementation of medical technology, hospitals can update the patient’s medical record which aid in future diagnosis. In the United States, the introduction of medical technology has conferred advancements regarding service delivery. Therefore, patients and care providers are assured of up to date services that align with the current digital era. Technology has not only improved terms of service but has also reduced the mistakes that occur during treatment. This is because everything is computerized and can be accessed anytime during treatment. The various costs covered include the preventative care, chronic disease management, mental health services, long-term care, managed café, medical technology, and medical malpractice. Preventative care and chronic disease management are very high.

Unless cost-containment measures are implemented, healthcare costs will continue to increase and affecting accessibility to health services. One of the primary strategies is the Accountable Care Organizations (ACOS) mandated with the overall continuum of care for a group of patients. In this approach, health providers, hospitals, and health payers can share responsibilities for the patient’s care. Payers, providers, and patients can explore innovative strategies to deliver cost-effective café but, ultimately, they must make the consequences o spending more transparent to the public. Future of healthcare The U. S health systems have been shaped by the implementation of Obama Care (Obama, 2016). The health reforms have contributed to improved health care through expanded coverage and enhanced access to health services. Following the increased prevalence of chronic diseases and the increased demand for quality care, patients, payers, and providers in the future healthcare systems will continue experiencing the heavy burden of health costs.

In conclusion, healthcare in the U. S still lags behind in terms of access, quality, and costs. Despite the ACA reforms aimed at improving quality of and reducing costs of healthcare, there is a high need for improvements that will enhance the quality of care while improving its accessibility at reduced costs. Changes towards affordable, quality and low-cost care can only are only possible when public and private sectors jointly support healthcare innovations since they both experience the impacts of high costs, low quality, and reduced access to health services.
