Human Rights Violation essay
It has come to my attention that some of the human rights are dishonored in the field I was working at (Lanigan Elementary School). No one is allowed to take away your human rights that will be violating your rights. There are several rights that are usually violated but one assumes that it is a normal routine. As I was in my field of service, I came across some violation of human rights which included the defilement of right to education, right to responsibilities and right to expression among others. The laws that have been brought to govern human rights are the principle of non-discrimination and notion that given basic rights apply generally. Some of the students are often experiencing rough home environment due to their parents not being around or even to an extent of being disregarded.
The law that governs human rights includes one that speaks about responsibility, whereby everyone has an obligation to serve in this community and should not go against it. The problem that I have come across is that some of the responsibilities are disregarded by the students’ parents because of the assumptions that it is not a human right. Mostly, some parents do not have time to be with their kids at home and bond. In such a situation, the affected students are forced to spend their time alone at home, instead of spending some quality time with their parents. I came across such students and they need resources that could help them get required education to solve their disabilities in learning. Not to forget that such students should be given a lot of attention to help them solve the disabilities in learning.
According to the human rights, every student should be educated despite any challenges around. One may be suffering from slow learning, such student should be given attention in a way that he or she is educated in the appropriate way that helps gain some knowledge. Lack of required education is viewed as the most offensive crime against basic rights. Wilson, 1982. Print. Kanmony, J C. Human Rights Violation. New Delhi, India: Mittal Publications, 2010.
