Islam Essay

Islam means submission and being obedient to the will and desire of God. Islam followers are referred to as Muslims. In Islamic religion, it is believed that an angel of God appeared to Muhammad, unveiling a lot of message to him that was from Allah. Muslims also believe that Muhammad is the greatest and the only prophet whose revelations are the purest and not corrupted. Islamic teaches that God is all-powerful, full of mercy and has trained mankind through messengers and scriptures. My teacher elaborated the meanings of each ayah to me, and asked me how it can be applied in the real life scenario. The ayah teaching generated a feeling of connection to my understanding that enhanced the ease of understanding of the religion.

I was later introduced in an open gathering that the mosque held where people of all faith are invited to ask questions and know more about Islam. I was strongly impressed that Islam have respect for other religions. Anyone with question asked the imams who were there to teach us and they would eventually give out the answers respectful of the discussion that was going on. Muslims believe in peace, mercy, and forgiveness, that’s why they follow their religion seriously. I also learnt that there exist pillars which Islam believe in. those pillars include having faith in God, being prayerful, being concerned for the poor, purifying oneself, and the journey to the sacred place known as Makkah. They also believe in Zakat that means to cleanse and increment.

It is a fundamental tenet whereby Islam believe that everything is owned by God. Islam has a unique, diverse culture that contains certain elements which are globally accepted and practiced by all Islam followers. Islamic culture emphasizes on monotheism i. e. God is centered as well as emphasizing that all people are the same. It also place high emphasis on recognition between good and evil, state of esteem and respect, act of honesty, and removal of unpleasant behavior in human beings. I also tend to believe that the main mission of Jesus Christ was not only to declare the gospel as Islam believe, but also to recreate a strong relationship and reconcile man closer to God. I gained an inner understanding about God through my learning process.

Islam has taught that God is merciful, full of love, willing to give and sympathetic. He is also the one who decides the fate of our all-time doings. I also perceived that God is always available and can be approached at all times if a follower has faith and trust in Him. The structure is believed to have been constructed by his son Ishmael. In Judaism, it is believed that God revealed Himself to Abraham in a dream and gave him an affirmation that his descendants will possess the land that God had promised them. Abraham’s faith in God was tested. He was told to sacrifice his son Isaac which he agreed. Ultimately, in Christianity he has been widely known through Jesus the son of God.
