Furthermore, he is presented as a hard-working individual who, despite dropping out in grade six, he had gone ahead to become a leading global manufacturer of earth moving machinery. Notably, R. G. LeTourneau was recognized for his provision of 90% of his income to help in spreading the gospel while he lived on the remaining 10%. Interestingly, while most businessmen were considered dishonest, LeTourneau was able to successfully conduct his business following Biblical principles which he attributes to the success of his businesses. LeTourneau left a legacy where people consider him as a man who was Gods’ businessman and hard work. This is because he offered much of his income in spreading the gospel as compared to the amount which he used for his personal activities.

LeTourneau also left a legacy where people were able to develop various machines due to his knowledge, which he provided before his death. There are different effects which have been experienced by his community due to his legacy (Grossman, 1995). For example, the invention of the machines has made it easy for the companies in the present world to carry out various activities. LeTourneau, together with his wife realized that they had rejected God many times and he continued to pray and worship God for blessings. He then decided to return to God and trust him. Grossman, (1995), indicates that; after struggling for many years and believing in God, he was able to develop his first garage. Additionally, at the time when the stock crashed, he made an improvement to the extent that he created his second business.

All these things were happening to him because he had faith in God. LeTourneau used the scripture in his daily life stating it as the only reason why he had been receiving blessing from God (LeTourneau, 2009). This is supported when he spent 90% of his income to spread the word of God. The verse also supports Christian giving since it educate people to offer to the things they have for the better of other people. In many occasions, he was considered as a person who did not hesitate to give to others. He was always kind to people and wanted them also to live as God commands (Branje, Van Lieshout, & Gerris, 2007). LeTourneau considered his family as a gift given to him by God.

This is seen when he supports his wife in whatever she does (LeTourneau, 2009). He could come together with his family to give thanks to God for His blessings. To his employees, he treated them well and always took in their advice. Additionally, he also employed many employees to offer them a chance to earn a living for themselves (Branje, Van Lieshout, & Gerris, 2007). LeTourneau used is, “The Lord can’t help you if you insist on carrying your problems with you. Leave them with Him, and they are no longer yours but His”. (LeTourneau 2009, p.
