Multiagency Coordination System (MACS) lacks physical aspect but is rather associated with distributed agencies. This is essential in ensuring that the command line is not broken in case the agency is affected by the incident. In a multiagency setup, various combination of the multiple agencies can take authority in case one of the agencies is incapacitated or directly affected by potential risk. There are various conditions under which a multiagency would be preferred over a single agency. One of the key situations is when handling and widespread incidents such as a natural calamity affecting various state or countries. Discussion 2 The planning phase is the most important phase of incident management. It should be given priority due to its critical nature. Planning can be considered a systematic process, a blueprint or procedures that will be employed by the multiagency to handle a given hazard (Annelli, 226).
