Awareness is very important in the prevention of the spread of such diseases. In workplaces where it is very crucial that workers are aware of risks exposed to them and how to avoid such infection. In this paper, there will be a discussion of several occupational diseases that is silicosis, Asbestosis, Lund cancer, Occupational Asthma, HIV, Byssinosis and Pneumoconiosis. LEGISLATION According to chapter (1) definition and a general provision, section (1) article (9) which says that owner of the organization shall issue safeguarding clothes with no cost for the workers who may be prone to any kind of risk. According to chapter (3) section (1) article (19), the workers has examine a medical examination on the employees who may be prone to any kind of occupational diseases to ensure their ability to work is maintained.

Infection control database One should avoid smoking if found infected with the disease, also, avoid dusty areas and allergens as much as possible. Be aware that even though you cannot see dust, the risk of being infected is high in areas where silica substances are used. Also, proper ventilation to ensure others people are not in high risk of getting silicosis. Control measure Washing hand before eating, taking shower and changing clothes after work, not drinking near silica dust, avoid using material that has silica and uses other alternatives. You should limit the exposure to silica and wearing a mask or protective clothes while working around silica. You should not use methods that will produce dust. You should not take home overall that has been used in asbestos work instead they should remain in the workplace.

You should not smoke found infected nor drinking or eating around the working area. Control measure Visit the doctor after every 3 to 5 year if working in an environment that exposes you to asbestos. OCCUPATIONAL ASTHMA Occupational asthma is asthma that is as a result of inhaling chemical fumes, dust gases or other substances in the workplace. PNEUMOCONIOSIS This is a chronic disease generated by certain particles of dust, the dust particles are normally found in working habitat. Pneumoconiosis may arise when these metal or mineral dust particles are inhaled by an individual. Sources and Symptoms Pneumoconiosis normally takes a long duration to mature, as these dust particles will accumulate slowly or take a long period to generate a reaction in the lungs; therefore the symptoms will not be seen immediately after these dust particles of metal and mineral have got access to the lungs.

Pneumoconiosis key symptoms include: struggling in breathing, cough, and compactness in the chest. When these symptoms persist it may indicate that one suffers from pneumoconiosis (McCunney, Morfeld and Payne, 2009, p. These symptoms normally appear at the start of working week and then finally enhance at the end of the week. They are somehow related to those of asthma, they include coughing, compactness in the chest, wheezing, shivering, tiredness, and finally muscle and joint pain.
